Kick Off World Wide Knit in Public Day With Us This Friday
Let's Knit Al Fresco!
It is that time of the year again. The weekend where we take our beloved hobby out of the living room and into the sunshine. World Wide Knit in Public Day is happening globally this weekend, and we are absolutely joining the fun here at Casa de Lana.
If you haven't heard of it before, this event started back in 2005 as a simple idea by a knitter named Danielle Landes. She wanted to get closeted knitters out in the fresh air and prove that crafting is a vibrant, social activity – definitely not just something you do alone on the sofa. Fast forward to today, and it has grown into the largest knitter-run event in the world, with local gatherings happening in over 50 countries.
The official motto of the day is "Better living through stitching together", and we honestly couldn't agree more.
Moving Out on the Street
Since the shop is closed on Saturdays, we are simply kicking off the global party early! Tomorrow, we are literally moving our chairs, tables, and ourselves out onto the street outside the shop in Alfaz del Pi. We want to sit together, chat, and show the neighborhood how much fun we have when we bring our yarn out in the open.
We like to keep things simple and cozy, so there is no formal agenda – just good vibes and lots of stitches.
When: Tomorrow, Friday, June 12th
Time: 17:00 to 20:00
Where: Right outside the shop in Alfaz del Pi
Who: Everyone! Old friends, new faces, knitters, crocheters, and anyone who just likes to sit and untangle yarn.
Snacks, Drinks, and Chaos
You can’t have a proper gathering without a little something to keep the energy up. We will be serving some light snacks and drinks to go with the stitching. All you need to do is bring whatever project you are currently working on, or get a new one in the shop, find a chair, and join the conversation.
(And yes, for those of you who remember last year's gathering... we are hoping for just as much fun. I have attached the picture of Ester literally jumping for joy at our last event just to set the mood!)

There is no need to RSVP or let us know you are coming – just drop by whenever it suits you. We love a spontaneous visit! Everyone is welcome, so feel free to bring along your craft-loving friends in the area, too. The more, the merrier.
